[PO-3261]

Cube of Many Metals

[Description]

Overview

The Cube of Many Metals, hereby referred to as PO-3261, is a cube of dimensions ten cubic centimeters exactly. It is made of one metal at a time but changes every hour. It has self regeneration properties.

Function

Once an hour, the metal PO-3261 is made of will change. It cycles through twenty-two metals with zero impurities. The metals are as follows:

When cut, disintegrated, melted, or otherwise changed in some way- partially or fully- the cube will fully repair itself. This repair process lasts at most a minute.

[History and Discovery]

Found within the mines of [REDACTED] in what is now [REDACTED] in 18XX. It was seen as a curious artifact and kept in the home of [REDACTED] until it was bought by [REDACTED] in 19XX. Afterwards, it was bought by The Unilateralis in an auction.

[Containment and Testing]

Containment

PO-3261 is kept in a box in  storage center [XYZ] and only taken out for experimentation. It is currently being considered whether to use chunks of PO-3261 as material for future projects.

Experiments

Experiment Log 01:

PO-3261 was given a shallow cut on one side. It was regenerated within seconds.

PO-3261 was then given a large cut on one side. This was regenerated within ten seconds.

PO-3261 was cut once on each side. It was regenerated within seconds.

Approval was not given for bisecting PO-3261 at this time.

Experiment Log 02:

PO-3261 was heated on one side until melting. After melting for a few seconds, the heating was stopped. PO-3261 cooled rapidly and the pool of melted metal shifted back into itself.

Experiment Log 03:

PO-3261 was put in front of [REDACTED], and half of it was designated as the target. The designated half was disintegrated after [REDACTED] was turned on. A few seconds after, the disintegrated half reappeared over the course of thirty seconds.

Experiment Log 04:

PO-3261 was cut in half. Both halves recombined shortly after.

PO-3261 was cut in half and then moved apart ten meters. Both halves flew towards each other rapidly and recombined. [REDACTED]’s hand was injured as it was in the way of PO-3261’s flight.

Experiment Log 05:

PO-3261 had a small chunk removed and relocated to [REDACTED] via [REDACTED], XY.Z light years away. The small chunk, now referred as PO-3261-a, did not recombine with PO-3261. PO-3261 quickly regenerated itself.

[Addendums]

Addendum 1

Due to its lack of anomalous hazards, PO-3261 is only kept in a storage center in [REDACTED].

Addendum 2

Despite turning into mercury, which is liquid at room temperature, it retains its cubic shape.

Addendum 3

The minimum range at which PO-3261 recombines with chunks of itself instead of regenerating is unknown. Further experimentation is needed.
